Andrew Bradshaw whilst a Director at GL Hearn was appointed by Trafford Council to prepare a feasibility study and masterplan to support the redevelopment of the Regent Road Car park site in Altrincham for a major new mixed use development.

 

The main purpose of the study was to identify and test options for the redevelopment of the site for a mix of new residential and commercial uses and new multi storey car park to help the Council utilise its property assets more effectively whilst also providing an improved revenue stream and support for the wider regeneration of Altrincham Town Centre.

 

The outcome of the feasibility study and masterplan identified the potential to redevelop the site including the Regent Road frontage for a mixed-use development of c. 70 new apartments with c. 800 sq.m of commercial space on the ground floor along with a 250 space multi storey car park.

 

Following a successful developer competition local developer City Branch were appointed as preferred developer to deliver the scheme and have secured planning permission with the scheme now on site for completion in 2021.
