Andrew Bradshaw whilst part of the Barratt Partnerships team was the project lead of a successful land bid to Homes England for the redevelopment of Filwood Park, Bristol for a high quality new residential neighbourhood including a new £1m community park. HTA Design were appointed to prepare a detailed scheme that responded to the sites technical and planning challenges and location within the Knowle West Regeneration Area.  

The winning scheme proposed 150 no. 2, 3 and 4 bed high quality houses and apartments arranged around a rejuvenated park designed to reflect the context of the site.

Barratt supported by HTA Design worked closely with residents and the council to take forward the park and housing elements of the outline design for a reserved matters application which was granted consent in June 2017 with the scheme due for completion in Spring 2024.

Through rejuvenating the park, providing quality new housing, and creating improved links and better frontages, Filwood Park will provide fantastic homes for residents that work as part of the wider regeneration of Knowle West.
